![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() “Vehicle” shall mean any mode of transportation used by security professionals in the official performance of their duties. The term “security professional” is synonymous with private patrol operator, security guard, security officer and street patrolperson. “Private patrol operator, security guard, security officer or street patrolperson” is defined by the Private Security Services Act, Section 7582.1, and shall have the same meaning for purposes of this chapter. “Identification card” shall mean a license or registration card issued pursuant to the Private Security Services Act, California Business and Professions Code Section 7580, et seq. These include, but are not limited to: metal or cloth emblems, embroidered or printed patches worn on the shirt, items worn on a belt, neck chain or any other visible location that would reasonably resemble an official badge or emblem of authority. “Badge or insignia” shall mean any symbol, item or accoutrement that represents, signifies, or identifies the wearer as a security professional. “Authorized uniform” shall mean any apparel, clothing, equipment, or gear worn by security professionals while on duty, or otherwise engaged in tasks or functions related to their profession and assigned by their employer.
